    First Take
The outgoing Saab 9-5 was overdue for a redesign. A new 9-5 arrives with a top-level Aero. It uses a 2.8-liter V6, the same engine found in the Cadillac SRX, and comes with all-wheel drive. Lesser front-wheel-drive only versions powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine arrive later. The car was developed under the auspices of GM and uses the basics of the chassis found in the Buick Regal and LaCrosse.
