    Road Test

The third-generation Avalon competes with large domestic sedans and is an alternative to some luxury sedans. The comfortable interior has a reclining rear seat and interior quality rivalling its Lexus cousins. Controls are straightforward without complicated interfaces. The soft suspension system absorbs bumps well, but body lean is evident in turns and the car lacks agility. Stability control is standard.
