    Mercury Villager

    Road Test

The Mercury Villager/Nissan Quest twins are designed by Nissan and built by Ford in Ohio. They come with a 3.3-liter, 170-hp V6. The Villager is relatively tight inside, in the front seats as well as in the cargo area, but the interior is versatile. The ride and handling aren’t as refined as that of the competition. Braking also falls short. Poor results in insurance-industry crash tests also detract from the package.
