    First Take
Like its siblings, the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, the mid-sized 2010 Milan is one of our higher-rated family cars overall. High points include fairly agile and secure handling, a supple ride, and good acceleration. Varieties include four-cylinder and V6 versions, front- or all-wheel drive, and a 34-mpg four-cylinder gas/electric hybrid that can drive up to 47 mph on electric power alone. The well-finished cabin stays mostly quiet, but the four-cylinder is fairly loud when accelerating. Crash-test results are impressive. The Mercury brand is being dropped, meaning the Milan discontinued.
