    Road Test

The X-Type was developed on a Ford-shared platform. It accelerates well, handles nicely, and rides comfortably, but overall didn't quite measure up to competitors. There is too much cabin noise, and accommodations are a bit tight. One of its unique features is standard all-wheel drive.
