Audi Q7

Audi's three-row midsized SUV gets a redesign for the 2027 model year. While the engines and styling are new, the SUV's rough dimensions are the same. At launch, the Q7 will come with a 429-hp, 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, while the SQ7 performance version will feature a 591-hp, 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Both models will come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The exterior styling is harmonious with the recently redesigned Q3 and Q5 SUVs, but inside, the Q7 gets a whole new look. The SUV features the familiar double-width driver's gauges and center infotainment screen, and comes standard with a third screen for the front-seat passenger. But Audi went back to more conventional mirror, window, and lighting controls in the Q7, and the elegant interior features wood trim and subtle chrome details rather than piano-black plastic. The Q7 is the first Audi in the U.S. to feature adaptive headlights that continuously adjust the beam patterns. An adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering are optional on the Q7; All SQ7 models receive the adaptive air suspension system as standard, and the SQ7's optional sport version lowers the ride height by 30 mm. Cargo room has increased by 10 cubic feet, according to Audi's measurements. The Q7 and SQ7 go on sale in late 2026.

The sleek dual display screens take time to master. Standard blind spot warning and rear cross traffic warning are new for 2021. For 2022, the 45 TFSI (2.0-liter turbo) and 55 TFSI (3.0-liter V6 turbo) Premium Plus get standard adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist. ACC and LCA are standard for 2024. The exterior of all Q7 models was refreshed for 2025.

The ride has an underlying firmness unless you splurge on the Prestige trim and the optional air suspension, which makes it as plush as a luxury car. Handling is responsive and confidence-inspiring. The beautifully finished interior exudes luxury, with excellent seats and a vivid, high-tech digital instrument cluster. The controls prove logical with familiarity. Available advanced safety systems include automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist.
