    First Take
Although the C70 retains the same name as Volvo's old S70-based convertible, the new model is basically a convertible version of the S40. The C70 has a metal folding top that's power operated. It comes only with a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine for now. AWD will not be offered. Expect the C70 to include the standard assortment of Volvo safety features, including stability control and curtain air bags that are housed in the doors.
