    Road Test

This version of the Saab 9-3 lags behind others in its class. Crash test results are excellent, and the engine is relatively powerful and quiet. However, neither sporty nor luxurious, the car is characterized by mundane handling, intrusive road noise, a stiff ride, awkward controls, and a tight rear seat. Fit and finish are nothing special either, but AWD is available.
