    Road Test

The X5 4.4i is more sport than utility. Whether it is in 3.0 guise or 4.4, the powertrains are responsive, smooth and invigorating. Handling is agile and secure, while the all-wheel-drive system provides good traction. The ride is mostly supple, but rather choppy at low speeds. Interior quality is impeccable, except for the flimsy cargo cover over the modest luggage area.
