Cordless Drills
The Flex FX1131-1A is a compact ½-inch drill that delivers very good performance, with a top-tier speed score and enough power even for heavy-duty tasks. Plus, it can last through most projects on a single charge, and then recharge quickly so you can get back to work without a long delay.
Carry-On Luggage
With its relatively low price and admirable test performance, the expandable AmazonBasics 21-inch Hardside Spinner is a worthwhile hard-shell suitcase that’s more durable and safer to handle than other models we tested. It comes with eight wheels, two handles, and a few different color options, too. However, its warranty only covers the bag for one year, and AmazonBasics’ listed dimensions of 22 x 14.9 x 10 inches are slightly larger than the carry-on size requirements of most domestic airlines.
The expandable Samsonite Freeform Carry-on Spinner is a great hard-shell suitcase—super usable, impact-resistant, and more, as our tests show. The Samsonite has four wheels, two handles, and comes in more than 10 colors, so you can choose one that suits you. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty, which is great. Its listed dimensions are 23 x 15 x 10 inches, slightly larger than the carry-on size requirements of most domestic airlines.
Bathroom Scales
The WiFi- and Bluetooth-enabled Omron Body Composition Monitor and Scale BCM-500 is accurate, consistent, and gives repeatable results even if your weight isn’t evenly distributed. In addition to your weight, measured in 0.1-pound increments, the Omron also calculates BMI based on the user’s entered profile.
The Renpho Smart Scale ES-CS20M performs excellently in most categories, though it’s not as easy to use as other bathroom scales we tested. It doesn’t have WiFi connectivity, nor does it display your heart rate, which could contribute to the difficulty we had in testing, but it’s Bluetooth-enabled and features a nice, backlit display.
Bike Helmets
The Giro Syntax MIPS is a relatively expensive road/mountain bike helmet that keeps your head ventilated and absorbs impact. It’s easy to use and fits a variety of head sizes, too. The helmet comes in small, medium, large, and extra-large sizes and features an adjustable retention strap to further customize the fit. The Syntax MIPS is lightweight at 322 grams and features technology designed to reduce concussion risk. It has a one-year warranty.
Bikes
The Schwinn Loop is a relatively inexpensive folding bike and comes with a handy carrying bag that keeps its not-secured folded parts, such as the handlebar stem and frame half, from swinging around when you’re carrying it. (Many folding bikes we tested didn’t come with a carrying bag.) That said, the Loop is heavy, at 30.2 pounds, and it doesn’t fold as easily or as compactly as some of the more expensive bikes we tested.
Dumbbells
The PowerBlock Pro Series is an adjustable dumbbell set that features a range of 5 pounds to 50 pounds per hand. We found the PowerBlock Pro adjustable dumbbells compact and comfortable to rest a thigh on during bench exercises—plus, they offer a good handgrip, even if we did find it difficult to perform two-handed exercises using a single dumbbell.
Under-Desk Ellipticals
The Cubii Go Under Desk Elliptical is a manual under-desk elliptical (with no motorized features) that has a good exercise range and ergonomics, plus, it’s convenient to use. We had no issues when we tested this model with shoes on, but with socks on, our feet slipped off the pedals; consider wearing footwear for a steadier workout. There’s no remote, and all adjustments had to be made on the Cubii Go’s base.
The manual Cubii Move Under Desk Elliptical is convenient to use, featuring wide pedals with lips that help keep your feet from sliding off the machine during use. Plus, the under-desk elliptical didn’t move when in use. The Move reports strides, calories, distance, speed, and time on its display, but it doesn’t include a remote, so every adjustment you want to make must be made using the base controls.
Exercise Bikes
The Schwinn Fitness IC4 is a great indoor cycling exercise bike that comes with a small, LED display for stats like speed, distance, time, and resistance, as well as session data. You can track your heart rate with an included arm-band monitor. It has two water bottle holders, a USB port for charging your phone, a place to store dumbbells, and a reading shelf. Its frame comes with a 10-year warranty, its parts with a three-year warranty, and it includes one year of repairs.
Resistance Bands
Bala’s Bala Bands are hard to beat for consistency and uniformity among the cloth-covered mini loop resistance bands we tested. They come in a set of three: light, medium, and heavy. They don’t provide the resistance weight in pounds on their website. The Bala Bands come with a carrying bag.
The Theraband Therapy Resistance Bands are a consistent and uniform set of flat resistance bands, with a wide range of exercises, though the set is much lighter than anything else we tested. It comes with three training bands (4.3-, 5.5-, and 6.7-pound bands) for up to 16.5 pounds of resistance. The TheraBand Therapy Resistance Bands are made from latex.
Electric Toothbrushes
The AquaSonic Black Series SCTB performs well in most of our tests, and we found it to be especially quiet for an electric toothbrush. It doesn’t connect to a smartphone app, nor does it have a low-battery indicator or a pressure sensor, but it comes with a timer, a rechargeable battery, and four cleaning modes.
Treadmills
The ProForm Carbon TLX has good ergonomics and construction, and it’s safe and easy to use for runners or walkers alike. Plus, it offers a good range of exercises in our treadmill tests. There’s no subscription required to use it, which is nice to see in this category, and it comes with a long, 10-year warranty.
The NordicTrack T10 performs well among the folding treadmills we tested. Plus, its design can accommodate a wide variety of body shapes and sizes, and we found it’s built for durability and resists wear after simulating six months of use in our lab tests. A subscription is required to use it. The T10’s frame comes with a 10-year warranty; its motor and parts, a two-year warranty; and its electronics and repairs, a one-year warranty.
The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 is a folding treadmill that performs well across ergonomics and user safety tests, and we found its wide range of exercises supports both low- and high-intensity workouts. A subscription is required to access any preset programs, though. Its frame comes with a 10-year warranty; its parts and repairs come with a one-year warranty.
Water Flossers
The Waterpik Aquarius is one of the few water flossers in our ratings that’s powered by plugging it into an outlet; the handset attaches to the base unit with a cord and doesn’t hold a charge. The large tank is removable, which makes it easy to refill. Keep in mind that the plug-in design means that this device will probably end up on your countertop, and the cord makes it a little harder to store. Still, it’s fairly quiet and offers 10 pressure levels to help you get used to the feel of the water stream.
Mattresses
The Kin Hybrid mattress from Tuft & Needle pairs adaptive foam with individually wrapped coils to create a medium-feel sleep surface. In our testing, it delivered a consistent experience across different body types and sleeping positions, and its hybrid design is intended to balance pressure relief with responsiveness. For Prime Day shoppers looking to move up from an all-foam mattress, it’s a lower-cost entry into the hybrid category.
Mattress Toppers
This 2-inch Tuft & Needle topper offers excellent support and convenience, with a removable polyester cover and consistent firmness. It’s lightweight for its size and adds subtle cushioning without trapping heat. Just be aware that it lacks corner straps and can’t be flipped, which may affect how securely it stays in place.
Tempur-Pedic’s 3-inch Supreme topper adds the brand’s signature slow-sink memory foam feel to any mattress, with a firm-to-medium contour that still allows easy movement. It sleeps cooler than many foam options and includes a removable, flippable cover. Just note: there’s no trial period, so try a Tempur mattress in-store before buying.
Pillows
The Coop Home Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow pairs Talalay latex with an adjustable fill, allowing sleepers to tailor the pillow’s height and firmness to their preferences. The latex construction is designed to promote airflow, and in our testing, the pillow provided support across multiple sleep positions.
This Coop pillow uses gel-infused memory foam and microfiber, making it a good choice for those who love the "cool side" of the pillow. It gets a perfect score for breathability, so if you sleep hot, it could be exactly what you need for all-night comfort. It also offers side and back support.
Sheets
100 percent cotton sheets at a synthetic fabric price is hard to come by. But this set from California Design Den offers quality and affordability. It excelled in our fit tests so you’ll never have to worry about the corners rolling up mid-sleep, and our shrinkage assessment proved that multiple washes won’t significantly reduce its size. It’s also one of the softer-feeling fabrics we’ve tested. However, you can expect a fair amount of wrinkling, and the tear resistance is just average.
Lawn Mower
The 21-inch Ego 2123SP-2 is a self-propelled mower that comes with a spare 56-volt battery, giving you extended run time if you need it. It’s a great mower for a great price, and you can use the batteries with Ego’s other tools in the platform, such as a leaf blower or string trimmer. Note that if you want the deal at Acme tool, you’ll need to create a (free) account to see the sale price.
Pressure Washer
Looking for an easy way to clean up gunk and debris from decks, patios, and driveways? The Greenworks GPW3001 performed very well in our cleaning tests and earned our top score for ease of use. Like many electric models, it’s relatively quiet, especially compared to most gas models. This pressure washer comes with 5 nozzle tips, and a replaceable cleaning tip. This is a very good deal, since this power washer has been selling for about $450 at most other retailers.
Vacuums
The Bissell FlexClean FurForce 4270L is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to both vacuuming and mopping functions. However, compared to some other robot vacuum-and-mop combos we’ve tested, it lacks certain amenities. The base automatically empties the device’s dustbin, but you’ll need to clean the device’s mopping pads and refill the robot with cleaning formula yourself. It’s tied for its best price ever.
Steam Mop
The GorFanty 10-in-1 MultiPurpose, which typically retails for $100, has hit an all-time low price for Prime Day. It is an excellent cleaner with a decent steam rate. It takes only 20 seconds for the steam mop to produce steam, and its steam can last for around 10 minutes on its maximum setting. We like that you can adjust the length of the mop to accommodate people of different heights. The mop comes with plenty of accessories, including attachments for cleaning tile grout, clothes, furniture, windows, and carpets.
It’s hard to find fault with the Tineco Floor One S5, which is exemplary at cleaning stains off of ceramic tiles and producing steam. It also scores a very good rating on our convenience test, meaning it’s easy and comfortable to use.

Carpet Cleaners
The Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro Plus 3588F is selling at its lowest price this year, making it a deal worth seizing. Not only does this make short work of dirt and stains, but it’s also very good at removing moisture from carpets after cleaning them. It’s relatively lightweight compared to some of the other carpet cleaners we’ve tested (weighing 28 pounds when full) and comes with a pet upholstery tool and a tough stain tool.
Canister Vacuums
The Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog isn’t cheap, but at $150 off its usual price, it’s worth considering if you’re looking for a top-performing canister. It’s a great vacuum to have if you have allergies or asthma because it doesn’t release debris into the air as you’re cleaning it up from the floor. It also earns strong marks for vacuuming pet hair, making it a good choice for pet owners.
The Eureka WhirlWind XL NEN186BL is a budget-friendly canister—and it’s currently selling at the lowest price we’ve seen this year. While its cleaning performance on carpet is only so-so, it’s more impressive at cleaning debris off bare floors such as hardwood and vinyl. At around 16 pounds, it’s also one of the lightest canisters that score well in our tests.
Vacuum and Mop Combos
If you’re looking for a cleaning device that can both vacuum and mop your floors, the Tineco Floor ONE S7 Pro does a solid job at removing dried-up food residue and sucking up wet messes like cereal and milk. In our lab tests, it also does an okay job vacuuming dry debris like rice and sand. Its run time is fairly long, so it’s unlikely to die on you mid-cleaning session. The lowest price of this model usually hovers around $340, so it’s a nice discount you’re catching here.
Cordless Stick Vacuums
If you’re shopping for a stick vacuum and you don’t have much carpet at home, the Levoit LVAC-300 is a good choice. While its cleaning performance on carpet leaves something to be desired, it earns top marks in all of our other cleaning tests, including vacuuming bare floors, cleaning the corners and edges of a room, and removing pet hair. It has a pretty good run time, averaging around 36 minutes—one of the longest among the cordless sticks we recommend. The model is currently selling at the lowest price we’ve seen this year.
We like the Shark Vertex Pro IZ662H’s many features. The wand can be bent to reach underneath furniture, and the vacuum itself folds for more compact storage. The vacuum is a strong cleaner, though it’s not as impressive on carpet as it is on bare floors. Its battery run time is relatively long, so you don’t have to worry as much as some other cordless stick vacuums that the Shark will die on you while you’re in the middle of cleaning. The price for this vacuum is the lowest we’ve seen this year.
The Miele Duoflex scores well in nearly all of our cleaning tests. It’s excellent at cleaning debris from bare floors as well as picking up pet hair. It’s only so-so at vacuuming dirt from carpets, but that’s not uncommon for stick vacs, which aren’t as powerful as uprights. What stands out the most about this model is how easy it is to use; we like how simple it is to remove the vacuum’s dustbin and clean its filter.
The flexibility of the Miele Triflex HX2 is one of the things we enjoy the most about it. You can adjust the bin’s placement to either the top or bottom of the vacuum, depending on the areas you’re cleaning in your home. You can also convert it into a hand vacuum. The vacuum is quiet and boasts exceptionally strong cleaning performance in our tests on bare floors, edges, and pet hair.
Corded Stick Vacuums
The Bissell PowerClean FurFinder 4282K is currently selling for $50 less than its lowest price this year, making it a deal worth seizing now. It’s decent at cleaning carpets and excellent at vacuuming bare, uncarpeted floors. The model comes with plenty of conveniences, such as a self-standing feature and headlights that illuminate messes on the floor you might have missed.
Hand Vacuums
If you’re looking for a handheld vacuum that can really clean tight, hard-to-reach corners, the Black+Decker Max+ DustBuster AdvancedClean+ HHVK515J00 is the one to get. It excels in our crevice-cleaning tests and is also impressive at picking up debris from bare, uncarpeted floors. It has a pretty good average run time of 23 minutes and comes with a dustbin that’s larger than most of the other handheld vacs we tried. This current discount is the best we’ve seen this year.
The Dyson Car+Boat 586119-01 is pricier than the other handheld vacuums we test, but its 24-minute run time is impressive. It’s a strong cleaner, especially with pet hair. (Though it’s not as effective as some other handhelds at sucking up debris from smaller crevices.) We love that this handheld vacuum comes with a pistol grip, which means less strain on your wrist. The current price is the lowest this vacuum usually sells for when discounted.
Upright Vacuums
Air Purifiers
If you’re looking for an air purifier for a small room, the Blueair Mini Restful might fit the bill, though it’s $50 more than it was last week. The Mini Restful earns the CR Recommended designation because it performed very well in our tests. Running at high speeds, it aced the dust, pollen, and smoke removal tests, and did nearly as well operating at low speeds. It gets a middling score for noise output at high speed, which is common across every model, but it’s actually pretty quiet at low speed, making it a great option for all-day use in, say, a home office.
Humidifers
This humidifier, rated for small rooms, is a fantastic balance of quality and price. It’s a top-rated model; it handled every one of our tests with ease, and it has an indicator when the water level is low, so it’s easy to know when you need to add more (and it shuts off automatically if you don’t get there in time). With perfect scores across the board and a price under $50, it’s a no-brainer.
The Dreo HM717S is designed to humidify large spaces (up to about 1,000 square feet) and has proven to be one of the top performers in its class. It gets top marks for energy efficiency, humidistat accuracy, and quiet operation, which means it won’t keep you up at night or spike your electric bill. It does struggle a bit with hard water, though, so it’s a much better pick if you have soft tap water or don’t mind using distilled. At $99.95, it’s a solid buy.
Power Scrubbers
The Leebein Power Spin Scrubber ANS-8050 is a strong scrubber with an incredibly long battery life. It can last about an hour on its highest power mode, so it’s unlikely that it will die on you in the middle of cleaning. If the battery is entirely depleted, however, it will take a while to recharge. (In our tests, it took more than 3 hours.) The scrubber has two speeds: 300 rpm and 400 rpm. It scores well for ease of use because it comes with 8 attachments, the most among the models we tested, including a scouring brush for greasy kitchen areas, a sponge brush for glass, a wool-like brush for polishing a car, and cloth brushes for leather and floor cleaning. It’s also relatively light and features an extension wand that extends up to 50 inches, giving you a wide reach. The angle of the scrubber’s head is fixed and can’t be adjusted. Unlike some of the other models, it comes with an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand brief immersion in water.
Cooling Blanket
Guohaoi Cooling Blanket
The price for the Guohaoi Cooling Blanket fluctuates constantly, so if you’ve had your eye on it, try to get it while it’s under $20. This was the second most cooling blanket we tested. When wearing it for an hour, the evaluator reported it felt very cool and didn’t retain heat. The front of this blanket is constructed with nylon and polyester and feels like smooth, cool swimsuit material. The back is made from Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified cotton. The stitching isn’t the neatest and feels a little inexpensive, and the two layers aren’t attached, but you can often expect some shortcomings for lower-priced items, and the important thing is that this blanket has a cooling effect as advertised.
For a more budget-friendly choice, the Canest Smart Toilet TC200GE is great at flushing waste and leaving no residue in the bowl. That said, its flushes can be a bit noisy. One of the features we really enjoy is that this toilet automatically adjusts the seat temperature, the warm-air dryer, and the bidet stream based on the indoor temperature, so you don’t have to adjust them seasonally. If you’re considering this toilet, you might want to act on this deal.
Heated Blanket
Bedsure Electric Heated Flannel Blanket
The Bedsure Electric Heated Flannel Blanket is thin but light. Though it’s cozy, it resembles an inexpensive fleece blanket you’d find at a grocery store. One side is striped flannel and the other is linty fleece. The flannel is not the best quality, but it does get hot. And it has the lightest wires of the blankets we evaluated. This is the price for a throw-sized blanket. Other sizes vary in price.
Power Tool Batteries
Ego’s battery-powered outdoor equipment consistently gets top marks from our testers, and this one is now $20 less than it was recently. Consumer Reports has rated the following products from its 56-volt battery platform: string trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, a hedge trimmer, and lawn mowers. This system of tools also includes a highly rated snow blower and a very good pressure washer, though they didn’t factor into the Overall Score. Tools can be bought with and without a battery, and you can buy a charger that takes two batteries at once. Ego also has a three-year warranty for its batteries.
Leaf Blower
For lighter-duty work, this is a great price on an Ego battery leaf blower. The LB5302 is not as powerful as other top-rated models in our ratings, but it works very well at sweeping, handles well, and weighs under 8 pounds. Plus, you get an Ego 56-volt battery, which works with other Ego tools.
String Trimmer
The Ego ST1502SA is a stellar performer when it comes to trimming, edging, handling, and cutting tall grass and weeds. It has a cutting swath of 15 inches and weighs just over 10 pounds. Ego tools get high owner satisfaction scores and share the same 56-volt batteries, which is convenient.
Snow Blowers
This is the best price we’ve seen this year on the 24-inch Ego SNT2405 two-stage battery snow blower. It handles well, can attack a plow pile effectively, and comes with four LED headlights. Keep in mind that it has a slower removal speed than other battery models in our ratings.
Showerheads
This five-setting Hopopro showerhead is the best fixed showerhead we’ve tested, and it’s also the least expensive one in our ratings, even when it’s not on sale. In terms of pressure, droplet size, and coverage, our testers found that it provided a great-feeling shower. It also earns top marks for its modest water consumption, using only 1.8 gallons of water per minute.
Washing Machines
The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted, so the added savings are a bonus. Especially given its performance, it’s a smart buy and an environmentally friendly choice, combining exceptional washing performance with superior water and energy efficiency. But this model isn’t particularly gentle on fabric, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.
One of the most budget-friendly top-load agitators in our tests, the LG WT7005CW is only $50 more than its best price. This eco-friendly Green Choice washer isn’t the gentlest on clothes, but it conserves energy and water. It’s among the quietest models in our tests and causes little to no vibration, meaning it won’t disturb you with rumbling. The cycle time is 70 minutes using the normal-wash, heavy-soil setting. Shorten it by using the normal soil setting whenever possible.
You’ll notice that the LG Signature WM9900HSA features a minimalist design, and it’s back to its best price after dropping $100 right before Labor Day. At nearly $2,100 at full price, it may sock your wallet. This is typically the most expensive front-loader in our ratings by far, about $700 more than the next priciest model, making this discount worth a look.
The new Signature retains the outstanding performance and large 5.8-cubic-foot capacity, making it the roomiest front-loader in our tests. In fact, it receives top scores across the board for washing performance, energy efficiency, and water efficiency. But it’s not as gentle on clothes as some other machines, and it vibrates somewhat during its long 2-hour wash cycle. At 41 inches tall and 33 inches deep, it’s also larger than the standard-size front-loader, so measure your space carefully before making a purchase.
Dryers
The top-rated LG DLE3400W is still available for its Labor Day price. We expect it to perform similarly to the CR-tested LG DLEX3700W (now discontinued). The tested model delivers solid performance across the board, nabbing an ace rating for noise and ratings near the top in our drying and convenience tests. This stackable Energy Star certified machine, with a claimed capacity of 7.4 cubic feet, is equipped with a moisture sensor, an extended tumble, custom programs, and an end-of-cycle signal—offering all these features at a fairly low price.
The high-performing LG Signature DLEX9900S is pricier than other LG electric dryers, and it’s dropped $100, back to its best price. And it comes with numerous extras that make laundry day easier. First, its 9-cubic-foot drum (the largest in our ratings) can handle any family-sized load. It features extras like a moisture sensor, a steam option, extended tumble, and WiFi connectivity. But what sets this dryer apart is AI-sensing technology that optimizes drying times, and a TurboSteam cycle that refreshes clothes and combats odors. Aside from its 56-minute cycle time, its de-wrinkle option can tumble clothes for up to 3 hours after the cycle ends. You can also operate the machine remotely via its ThinQ app. One thing it lacks, however, is a duct blockage indicator, so it’s essential to keep close tabs on duct maintenance.
