Road Test

The Subaru Forester is a solid choice in the segment. It rides very comfortably, handles responsively, and it has decent fuel economy and adequate acceleration. The interior is well-put-together, but looks basic. The cargo area is square and useful, but backseat leg room is tight. The availability of electronic stability control in only one model (the Sports 2.5 XT version) is disappointing.
