""I like to do some of my own maintenance since it is so expensive to have the dealership do it. I decided to change my brake pads on both the front and back. The front pads were straightforward and easy, but because of the electronic parking brake, I had problems with the back brake pads. I could not get the parking brake motor to reverse and therefore I could not decompress the calipers. Even worse, when I tried to go through the process of reversing the motor shown on YouTube, I compressed the calipers to where I could not even get the old pads back on. Ultimately, I had to have the car towed to a shop that had the proper electronic device to change the back brake pads. Personally, I would prefer to be able to change the brake pads rather than have an electronic parking brake.""

Anonymous, FL (2020 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)""The A/C vent to the right side of the driver quit blowing a couple of years ago. When I took it in, they "re-set" something and it worked again. It happened again last year, and they said that they could not "re-set" it again, and that they had to replace the $3500 Serv-Pro motor for that vent. A short time later the hydrolic lifts for the tailgate quit working properly, and since they had "motors" in them, that was an $1800 repair. Luckily, it was under warranty/extended warranty or I would have traded it on the spot.""

""After filling up the gas tank, the car would not start. I arranged to schedule a tow, but then I was able to get the car started. After that, the car ran fine until I filled the gas tank again. Then it would not start again. Finally, after much research, I found that a valve that controls the release of gas fumes had gotten stuck. I cleaned out the valve and the car has run fine since.""
