Engine Minor

Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.

What Owners Say

Engine knock or ping

"Had to have valves rebuilt twice."

Anonymous A., (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Laredo 5.7-L V8)
Engine mounts

"Started hearing a helicopter like sound when stopped in gear. Started in Feb 2024 when traveling to Florida . It was only happening in warm weather. It took 3 trips to dealer to get problem resolved. First trip weather was to cold to replicate. Second trip they replaced perge valve for fuel system. 3rd trip when at dealer told them to check motors mounts. They reluctantly did and found they did need to be replaced the motor mounts."

Anonymous A., ND (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited 3.6-L V6)

Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

What Owners Say

Other/unsure

"Michelin tires that after 26000 miles had a tread of 1/32 on all four tires. I am battling with Michelin ang the dealer to attempt to have them replace the tires for such poor wear. I am 85 and a very lawful driver. No skidding of speed is ever involved. Two tire specialists have told me the wear is very unusual and Michelin should be held responsible. The dealer insists that they were not specially purchased for the car/"

Anonymous, VT (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited 3.6-L V6)

"Uconnect system went. No phone, GPS, No Sound, Nothing. Horrible problem. Dealership had my vehicle off and on for 3 weeks. I paid out of pocket for a rental. Horrible experience. I blame Uconnect more than Stellantis. I had this happen twice in my 2016 Chrysler 300S so I was prepared and this was my biggest fear. In the end Stellantis made it right, but no love for Ucconect"

Anonymous, NH (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited 3.6-L V6)

Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

What Owners Say

Air or water leaks

"I was getting water on the driver floor. Took to dealer paid 700 was ok for about 2 months then started again. I went on line and found a fix. It worked and all is ok."

Anonymous A., MA (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited 3.6-L V6)
Squeaks or rattles

""There still is a knocking sound coming from the front passenger side. It feels like is an engine mount that needs to be replaced but the dealership says is all in my head, that they do not hear anything and that it is normal engine sound""

Anonymous, PA (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit 3.6-L V6)

In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

What Owners Say

Display screen goes blank

""The central display would regularly go blank, freeze up, and restart while driving. It would shut off music and reset gps when this would happen. It was eventually classified as a complete failure and the entire unit had to be replaced.""

Anonymous, MI (2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland 3.6-L V6)
Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

""Every time Apple updates the iPhone, the Bluetooth wont connect to the car until Jeep releases an update, which can often take days or weeks.""
