"We had to have the rotors replaced after just 12 months due to rust. It failed inspection. The stated reason was that we used the engine braking too much, and so the rotors did not have a chance to avoid getting rusty. So we replaced the rotors -- the dealer either absorbed the cost or passed it on to the manufacturer -- but we are concerned that every year now we will have to replace the rotors, and that is expensive! We like the car a lot for other reasons, but we will not buy another one."
