"At 102k miles i found out their was a leak in my CV axle. It cost $500 to repair at a local shop with after market parts. It would've cost 1000 at the dealership"

Dealer said they could not determine what was wrong but thought it was probably that the water pump needed replacing to the tune of $2000. They said that if it wasn't that, they would have to investigate further. (It was a gamble, paid for by us.) I looked online to see if there were any other owners with similar problems. I found an obscure post by a mechanic that told someone to try changing a specific fuse under the hood. I tried that and it not only fixed the problem, but saved us a pile of money."

Hyundai says this version is better and with more updated computer programming Its funny they issued a warranty extension for the seat belts but Im on my third hub assembly without an extension."

I fought with Hundyai for a year and then totally lost it at the dealership when they said that burning 5 quarts of oil was normal. "We asked the dealer to check the transmission as it seemed to be shifting harder. They did. Software reset. We came back and they said nothing was wrong. We went to another dealer and they saw a problem and replaced the transmission. It also fixed a problem where the car would no longer turn off at a stop. The first dealer said it was because the battery was at only 80%. Now working with the new transmission."

Had to add nearly 6 quarts or oil. No OBD codes, either. Seems to be consuming the oil slowly. I have to add every few weeks. Never see oil on the ground. Dealer has been no help so far except "drive for a while and bring it in; don't add oil". I'm not willing to take that risk, so I keep adding oil. Takes too long to get an appointment, and then they seem to try to get out of paying for repairs under warranty. My issue with the A/C compressor was ultimately resolved, but they tried their best to get out of that one, too. For these reasons, I don't plan on buying Hyundai in the future.""

"Sunroof randomly cracked. It was a very loud sounds and the whole window of the sunroof was shattered leaving lots of tiny pieces of glass between the frame of the sunroof and the shade. There was no evident of anything hitting the sunroom to cause it to shatter."
