CR's Take
Hyundais entry-level model comes as either a sedan or a three-door hatchback. For 2001, it gets a stronger, optional 1.6-liter engine. The subcompact is one of the least expensive cars on the road, with a manufacturers suggested retail price of under $10,000. The Accent is relatively quiet and solid, making it more pleasant than its Daewoo and Kia competitors. Antilock brakes are not available. Reliability is unknown.
