    Anonymous, CA (2013 Honda CR-V EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

""After about 10 years, the A/C compressor on this line of Honda CR-Vs typically needs to be replaced. My was just worn out and needed to be replace. It was a LOT less expensive to replace that to purchase a new vehicle. SO, I just paid to replace it. It was worked perfectly since being replaced.""

    Anonymous, TX (2013 Honda CR-V EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

""Over the past five years the A.C. has been a thorn in our side!! EXPENSIVE work, mostly done at Honda dealer. In addition, the AC is so loud that it adds to the already noisy cabin, especially when driving on the highway.""

    Anonymous, (2013 Honda CR-V Unsure 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
    Condenser

"The Airconditioner stopped working. I had to replace the entire system and pay out-of-pocket. $2,400.00"

    Heater system

""The AC works, but the heating does not; more specifically, heat does not come out of the floor-level vent on the driver's side. The only solution seems to be a reverse flushing to remove corrosion. The quoted cost is several hundred dollars for a problem for which YouTube offers DYI guidance that I intend to try out in warm weather.""

Unless you look in the tire well area you may not realize it is going on. From what I have looked into for this issue Honda was aware but offered no solution though there is the dyi fix if you care to take the chance. It has only gotten worse to the point that we have to carry a portable 1x jump starting device. Driving it does charge the system but if it sits for more than 2 or 3 hours it drains down to no start. Anonymous, NY (2013 Honda CR-V EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Excessive wear on the timing causing a loud noice when starting. The dealer tried to blame it on low oil level or too many miles between oil charges. They tried to tell me I had to change oil every 5000 miles. I showed them in the owners manual that 10000 was recommended with sythetic oil. I have been using Amsoil exclusively since 1972 and have never had a single problem. I checked with Amsoil technical and they said it was probably a problem with the metal used to make it. I checked the internet and found many of the same problems on this engine. One guy had to replace it 3 times. Mine was the highest mileage of any I could find which I am sure was because of the Amsoil."

    Anonymous, MN (2013 Honda CR-V EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
