What is it? Like the CX-7, the three-row CX-9 is given a midlife freshening for 2010. The exterior receives a version of the new Mazda smiling grille design and lamps. The CX-9 has larger ears, with its new side mirrors, and new 18- and 20-inch wheel designs are available.

The interior is dressed up with new seat fabric, chrome and black trim accents, and leather on top models. A new center console is configured for CD and DVD storage, inspired by a new audio system with AM/FM/Sirius radio and CD changer. The 4.3-inch LCD control screen also serves for Bluetooth connectivity and new backup camera system.

What is new or notable? The well-rated CX-9 receives myriad detail improvements, adding to its appeal.

When will it be available? Fall 2009.
