What is it? GMC has expanded its full-sized hybrid offerings by introducing the Yukon Denali Hybrid. Joining the Yukon hybrid and Sierra hybrid pickup, the Yukon Denali offers a more luxurious package and a corresponding higher price. It is powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine producing 332 horsepower with the ability to tow 5,800 lbs.
GMC claims an estimated 21 mpg city EPA rating. Consumer Reports got just 14 mpg city from the similar Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid and a more impressive 25 mpg on the highway.
Electronic stability control, front and side air bags, anti-lock brakes and traction control will be standard. It will also include an advanced technology suspension that uses magnetic particles in the shock absorber fluid to help the tires keep better contact on the road.
MSRP starts at $59,185 for the 2WD and $62,030 for the 4WD. A $2,200 tax credit may be available for eligible buyers.
