Where the redesigned GX and LX target customers who tow a heavy load or traverse off the beaten path, the TX is focused on a more refined ride and handling. It has a much more spacious interior than the RX, with all the features one would expect from a premium SUV. Based on our initial experience, this combination should appeal to families looking for comfort and convenience in an upscale package that is well-suited to road trips.
The Lexus TX has a three-powertrain strategy, with its top offering being a powerful plug-in hybrid with over 400 horsepower and an estimated 33 miles of electric-only range.
The TX will be offered in four core trims: Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport versions split between Performance and Performance Luxury sub-trims.
The TX is the first Lexus to be manufactured at Toyota’s assembly plant in Indiana. The model range kicks off with the base TX 350 and mid-level 500h, a hybrid. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid will join in early 2024.
