What is it? This tall, 2+2 sports coupe concept looks like a cross between a Mazda RX-8 sports car and an Infiniti FX sport-utility vehicle. The car is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine. It has a large, clamshell tailgate that opens to a relatively small cargo area. The rear doors are hinged at the rear, which creates a pillar-less door opening that makes it easy to access the rear seats. The Talus also has a WiFi Internet connection and video entertainment system with four screens.

What's new or notable? The Talus' eye-catching styling.

CR's take: Hyundai claims that the Talus won't make it to production, but was simply an exercise for its new California styling studio. With the Tiburon getting old-in-the-tooth, however, we may see this styling influence a new Hyundai sports coupe. The concept's high ride height seemed odd, though, like an SUV sports coupe.
