What is it? First shown at the Paris Motor Show, the Concept Fascination made its North American debut at the LA Auto Show. The vehicle is another blending of traditional vehicle segments, much like the current R-Class. In this case, it looks like the wagon-version of the CLS, itself a blend of coupe and sedan.

The wood and aluminum-lined cargo area as hidden storage compartments. The center features a folding glass table that raises at the push of a button, revealing a humidor. Moving the picnic-ready table rearward exposes a refrigerated compartment for storing beverages.

What is new or notable: The Fascination is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with 204 horsepower.

CR's take: Consider this a design exercise. It will likely influence the next E-Class wagon.
