What is it? The latest in a series of small concept cars, the 9-X Air BioHybrid concept explores the design for a drop-top model. Despite needing to accommodate the folding top, there is a sliding storage compartment that can accommodate two golf bags.
What is new or notable: The concept car's name comes from a flex-fuel, E85-compatible 1.4-liter engine. Fitted with a turbocharger and teamed with a hybrid drivetrain, total power output is 200 horsepower.
CR's take: For a company known for not building show cars, Saab's design studio has been prolific in recent years. What is more important is what reaches the road. With the brand's aging product line, we hope to see the fruit of this labor soon.
