What is it? The Impreza and its video-game iconic brother the WRX get a complete redesign for 2008. The sedan is significantly larger than the old Impreza, with a much larger trunk. The wagon is a smidge taller than the old car, but otherwise similar – and smaller than the sedan the rear is more upright, to increase cargo space. The flat-four engines, with 170 hp in the base Impreza, and 224 in the WRX, as well as the five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions carry over.
