What is it? The redesigned Titan pickup is one of three updated Nissan trucks making debuting at the Chicago auto show. For 2008, the Titan will have more power and features. A new Long Wheelbase (LWB) variation has been added, fitted with a large 37-gallon fuel tank for greater driving range over the 28-gallon tank. The off-road PRO-4X model is a new addition to the XE, SE, and LE trim line offerings. For 2008, the Titan offers two body styles and four bed sizes: King Cab with 6’6” and 8-foot and Crew Cab with 5’6” or 7-foot bed lengths. Other key options include a choice of two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations and flexible fuel (E85 ethanol) capability.
The Titan is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine producing 317 hp and 385 lb-ft torque. It also has a standard five-speed automatic transmission a maximum towing capacity of 9,500 lbs for the King Cab and 9,400 lbs. for the Crew Cab.
