About
our coverage
The Detroit show serves as the auto industry’s New Year’s party, as the North American International Auto Show assumes lead as the first major new-car show in the United States. The Los Angeles Auto Show moved from its traditional early January schedule to late fall, relinquishing this distinction to the Motor City.
Over three media days, we saw more than 40 near-future production models and concept vehicles unveiled, often with dramatic stage shows and marketing hyperbole. For our online coverage, we cut through the hype to present our insights on the most-significant vehicles.
