What is it? Pontiac adds another model to its GXP performance series with the 2009 G8 GXP high performance sedan. The GXP will be powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 small-block V8 engine that produces over 400 hp. This formidable powerplant will come with a standard six-speed automatic transmission, with a six-speed manual transmission available.

Safety features include ABS and traction control, electronic stability control, and OnStar.

What's new or notable? The 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine is also the same engine that powers the Corvette, so driving enthusiasts enjoy high performance with the whole family.

When will it be available? Late 2008
