What is it? The Resonance is a crossover concept with a hybrid-electric powertrain. Nissan says the bold design combines style with a sporty, athletic ride and is expected to portend the next Murano.

Designers imagined “first-class space travel” when designing the Resonance.  The interior has leather, stitched seats, an advanced instrument panel to house infotainment and communication.  There is an open glass panoramic roof and roomy interior with sculpted door panels and a deep center console.

The all-wheel-drive Resonance includes a smaller displacement internal combustion gasoline engine with an electric motor/lithium-ion battery and advanced management system.  It also features Nissan’s next-generation Continuously Variable Transmission.

What’s new or notable? While the Resonance is just a design concept for now, the efficient hybrid electric drivetrain is aimed at crossover drivers who are environmentally aware, but still want driving performance.
