Consumer Reports auto experts report from the 2012 New York Auto Show in New York City.

About our coverage

The last event of the new-car show season, the New York Auto Show provided a final sneak-peek at 2013 models before they begin to roll into dealership during the months ahead. Consumer Reports auto editors and engineers will be on hand to learn about these new vehicles and share candid first impressions.

Over two media days, we expect to see more than 25 production models and concept cars, often with dramatic stage shows and marketing hyperbole. For our online coverage, we’ll cut through the hype to present our insights on the most-significant vehicles. Those that have appeared at prior shows will not be repeated, though additional info and photography for production models may be found in our New Car Preview.
