What is it? The Mazda Takeri features a 2.2-liter SkyActiv diesel engine and a host of other fuel saving technologies. The Takeri has an auto stop/start system, which restarts in one engine cycle instead of two like other vehicles, as well as a regenerative braking system. Mazda says these technologies will improve fuel economy by up to 10 percent.

The Takeri concept is a hint at the next generation Mazda6.
