What is it? The latest special-edition Wrangler is dubbed Mojave, after the famed desert trail. It follows in the path of the recent Islander, Mountain, and Black Ops editions.

Offered on the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, the Mojave builds upon the Sport model, adding a body-colored hardtop and fender flares, Sahara trim side steps, Mojave decals, and lizard appliqués.

Other parts-bin upgrades include the 32-inch Rubicon tire and 17-inch gray wheel package, black fuel filler door, and taillamp guards. The interior is finished in leather with lizard logos, driftwood trim bits, and heavy-duty floor mats.

The Mojave will be available in tan, white, and black, starting at $29,195.

What's new or notable? Jeep continues to reach out to enthusiasts, bundling special factory-customized models—a sharp concept for the target audience.

CR's take: The concept makes sense, but why the over-the-top graphics again and again?

When will it be available? June 2011
