What is it? Buick is using the LaCrosse GL Concept to explore how luxury can be presented and expanded using a wider palette of design elements.
To add sophistication to the appearance, designers used a mix of deep red with dark cocoa brown and caramel color inspired by antique jewelry and vintage guitars. The exterior is highlighted with brushed chrome accents on the grille, door handles, and around the windows, taillights, and headlights. The 20-inch wheels have a satin-finish.
The seats are wrapped in stitched leather with suede for the headliner. Setting the mood, the interior has ice-blue lighting.
This heirloom design style is Buickās way to make the car warm and inviting. No word on whether these new touches will hit production. Ultimately, manufacturers showcase some design experiments at auto show to garner consumer feedback. If you feel strongly about this car, or other concepts, when at a show, let the automaker know.
