What is it? Honda has an all-new Civic set to go on sale this spring. Like the old Civic, Hondas bestselling small car will be offered in several variants, a sporty Si coupe and sedan, regular gasoline-powered sedans, a hybrid sedan and a natural gas sedan. Honda says it will expand availability of the natural gas Civic GX, the only mass-produced natural gas powered cars sold in the United States. The new Civic was delayed a year in a budget cutting move by Honda in 2009.

What is new or notable? This is the first glimpse we've gotten of the new Civic in sheetmetal. Previous teasers had all been artists' sketches. However, Honda released precious few technical details of about the new car. All new Civics will get the same trip computer interface to help drivers save gas as the company's hybrids do now.

When will it be available? Late spring 2011.
