What is it? Mazda unveiled the Shinari concept, which debuted Mazda's new design theme called KODO, which means "soul of motion". The Shinari is a four-door, four-seater sports coupe, which may never see production, but shows some design elements that may be seen on future models.
Besides the lean look and swoopy design on the exterior, inside there are changes to enhance driver experience and ergonomics. There is a three-dimensional display, which offers three modes: Business, Pleasure and Sport. The Business-mode connects the driver to his work day tasks. The Pleasure-mode is a focus on comfort and entertainment, which allows the driver to change the mood of the interior. The Sport-mode activates the paddle shifters and suspension is tuned for performance driving.
