What is it? The next-generation Aveo appears in hot-rodded pre-production form. The Aveo RS is longer, wider, and roomier than the current lackluster car. This edgy hatckback is powered by the same 1.4-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine that will be in the upcoming Chevrolet Cruze with a six-speed manual transmission.
The RS has an aggressive look with integrated fog lamps set in the brake-cooling area, which flows to the front fender flares. The RS also has a lower opening and 19-inch wheels. The car looks like a three-door hatch, as its rear door handles are hidden in the C-pillar area. The designers love for motorcycles is shown in the exposed headlamps, rear taillamps, and interior analog tachometer with an asymmetrical LCD display.
Inside the small car offers storage areas in the center area, and doors and the rear seats fold down flat.
The redesigned Aveo will be unveiled in 2011.
