What is it? Toyota introduced the redesigned Avalon at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. New features will include a touch-screen navigation system with real-time traffic and Bluetooth music streaming. In Limited trim, the front seats are fitted with ventilation systems. The Avalon will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will produce 268 horsepower. It's mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyota says the Avalon will qualify as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle and will get an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway.

What's new and notable? Addressing current safety concerns, Toyota says the redesigned Avalon will have a redesigned accelerator pedal assembly and a brake override system.
