What is it? To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of when the Datsun 240Z first landed on American shores, Nissan is rolling out a special edition 370Z. Like other current Z's, it is powered by the same 332 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine and it comes with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission. Based on the current Coupe Touring package, what makes the 40th Anniversary package special is largely cosmetic, including some aerodynamic body treatments, a "quartz" paintjob, special badging, an interior clad in red leather, and a satin car cover.
What's new and notable? Nissan has been notably absent from the auto show circuit as of late, so this entry into the relatively small Chicago show comes as a big surprise. Pricing of this special edition is set at $38,860 and production is limted to 1,000 units.
When will it be available? Spring 2010.
