What is it? Lincoln explores a small, urban-centric offering with the C concept. Small on the outside in contrast with other Lincolns on display, the C design seeks to maximize interior space. Accessed via suicide-type doors, the cockpit has slender, wavey seats and a decidedly sci-fi flare.

As demonstrated in a clever video, the C has showcases a futuristic version of Sync. Building on the features in the latest Sync release, the C allows the driver to interact via natural-language voice commands with an intelligent interface, represented by an animated, human avatar. Being a connected, mobile device, the C demonstration included cell phone, text messaging, calendar, and smart music play list operations. The avatar named "Eva" brought the functions to life, acting as a digital assistant.

What is new or notable: The C features a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine the produces 178 horsepower and achieves a reported 43 mpg on the highway.
